It is often cited as the core modern text in this particular subject area, and the author is commonly credited for introducing this idea to the non-expert public. Google Scholar indicates the original 2005 publication has been cited more than 9,000 times1 in articles with a wide range of subjects, from biology to stock market prediction to robotic intelligence.
