ABSTRACT

Assessing the Argument Pankaj Ghemawat’s insights into the importance of understanding the different dimensions of cross-country distance to the success of international business expansion have enjoyed widespread and longlasting diffusion since the publication of “Distance Still Matters” in 2001. Ghemawat has further developed his insights in best-selling books for practitioner audiences, including Creating Value Through International Strategy in 2005; Redefining Global Strategy and Crossing Borders in a World Where Differences Still Matter in 2007; and Strategy and the Business Landscape in 2009. In his book World 3.0: Global Prosperity and How to Achieve It, published in 2011, he called for regulatory changes in support of a more sustainable globalization.
