ABSTRACT

Most of us unconsciously assume that our own ways of thinking and behaving are representative of how everyone else thinks and behaves, and this is also true when it comes to learning. Not everyone learns in the same way. Some of our learning behaviors are based on personal preference, but many of our learning behaviors are in uenced by our culture. e unique challenge for change managers working across cultures is to understand which learning behaviors are based on cultural values-which maybe shouldn’t be challenged-and which are more super cial and can be challenged for the sake of instructional design.
