ABSTRACT
The wealth of art produced in Florence around the
middle of the fi fteenth century was enormous. Perhaps
the most signifi cant of the painters who were contem-
poraries of Fra Angelico and Filippo Lippi were Paolo
Uccello, Andrea del Castagno, and Domenico Veneziano.
