ABSTRACT
Falcão (1985) to determine linear and nonlinear wave energy extracted using an OWC device. The damped free surface boundary conditions were used by them to implement the air pressure on the chamber free surface. Moreover, U-type OWC proposed by Boccotti (2007) was simulated analytically by Malara & Arena (2014) using the linear theory. The correlation between the airflow velocity within the air duct and chamber air pressure has been investigated by Gato & Falcão (1988). In this regard, they performed several experimental studies and found out a linear correlation. Model scale experimental studies were performed by Fleming et al. (2012) to investigate processes of the energy transfer of an OWC device based on phaseaveraged data.
