Using the “Spiral design” approach each loop introduces more information, which makes the ship design more precise (Garbatov et al., 2017b).
A previously developed project database is employed, and the “traditional design” stage boundaries are fading. The design flow procedure that is used in the present study is presented in Figure 1.
