ABSTRACT
This entry describes the seven principles of supply chain management and professional organization perspectives including the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, APICS, the Association for Operations Management, and the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC). Other strategic concepts include competing “supply chain to supply chain” and the Value Chain concept from strategist Michael Porter of Harvard.
