ABSTRACT
The entry compares the “batch” and “flow” world. The entry shows the mathematical rationale for seeking the flow world, ideally one that is totally synchronized, with high rates of product velocity, and a minimum of inventory. A goal of supply chain design is move from less batch to more flow.
