ABSTRACT
When markets are unpredictable, the traditional supply chain metrics for cost, delivery, and quality are achieved through supply chain flexibility. A “brittle” supply chain that is tuned to one level of production and one mix of products will not meet market requirements without sacrifice. The entry describes a way to specify what types of supply chain flexibility is needed for the business.
