ABSTRACT
This entry describes strategies for utilizing process standards. It also points out the limitations of using the standards. In particular, the entry points out that adoption of a standard, by virtue of its being a standards, don't produce a competitive advantage. Advantage is gained by linking processes together after making choices how to compete. These choices will guide the organization toward the appropriate standards.
