ABSTRACT
The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) is described in this entry. It is unlawful for a U.S. firm or any person representing the firm to offer, pay, or promise to pay money or anything of value to any foreign official or foreign political party or candidate to obtain or retain business. This law must be kept in mind for any number of possible supply chain transactions.
