ABSTRACT
Introduction SKU replenishment transaction activity ensures that the correct SKU quantity is transferred from a storage position to a correct pick position, which allows a picker to complete a pick transaction. To complete a replenishment transaction, the majority of replenishment activity time involves two activities:
1. SKU withdrawal from a storage position. In a typical conventional forklift or AS/RS storage design, a SKU withdrawal takes two to three minutes. This is based on the travel distance between a P/D station to a storage position and to the P/D station (for a forklift truck or AS/RS crane).
