ABSTRACT

Introduction Warehouse transport moves a SKU or an order via a vehicle (employee-or computer-controlled) or load carrying surface over a variable or fixed travel path. Possible travel paths:

n Moving a SKU from a receiving dock to a storage or put-away area, to an AS/RS in-feed station, to an across-the-dock ship location/drop location, or to a pick area

n Moving a SKU from a storage or put-away position or an AS/RS out-feed station through and from a pick area to an order packing area through a manifest station and onto a staging area or delivery vehicle.
