ABSTRACT
Local anesthetic is infused around nerves to control pain. This technique is also known as continuous regional analgesia. Although peripheral nerve catheters are placed by anesthesiologists, nursing contributions are critical to the safe and efficacious management of peripheral nerve infusions.
