ABSTRACT

Adult T-cell leukemia=lymphoma (ATLL) is a peripheral T-cell lymphoma, etiologically associated with human T-cell leukemia virus I (HTLV-1) (1,2). HTLV-1 infection and ATLL is endemic in southwestern Japan and the Caribbean (3). The disease is rare in Europe and U.S.A. (4). There is a considerable spectrum of clinical manifestations and histologic features in ATLL (4,5).
