I. Introduction

Otorhinolaryngological problems are extremely common in children, especially

acute respiratory infections (ARIs) in general associated with fever. In many

countries, excessive use of drugs considered as unnecessary and harmful to

children is observed in the treatment of these pathologies, as well as abuse of

antibiotics, as most ARIs have a viral etiology and cure spontaneously (1,2).
