Rhinitis belongs to a heterogeneous group of nasal disorders manifested by

one or more of the following symptoms: sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal itching,

and nasal congestion (1). The inflammation of the nasal mucosa and intra-

nasal structures are caused frequently by allergic and nonallergic rhinitis. In

a significant proportion of the population, allergic rhinitis is the most frequent

cause of chronic rhinitis (1-3). Nonallergic rhinitis occurs in 30-50% of

patients with rhinitis (1). Patients with allergic and nonallergic rhinitis share

common symptoms such as nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, sneezing, and post-

nasal drip (1,2,4).
