I. CLINICAL CLASSIFICATION OF TREMOR

Tremor is an involuntary oscillation of a body part and is commonly classified

according to the behavioral circumstances in which it occurs (Table 6.1) (1).

Tremor may occur during attempted relaxation (rest tremor), during a voluntarily

held posture (postural tremor), or during a voluntary movement (kinetic tremor).
