ABSTRACT

The degree of tumor differentiation has shown variable impact on survival. According to the observation by Kenyon et al. (12), patients with well-differentiated tumors developed CN VII paralysis and succumbed to the disease earlier than patients with poorly differentiated tumors. Moffat et al. (97) and Liu et al. (89) reported better survival with well-differentiated carcinoma. Arriaga et al. (15) and Chen et al. (16) found very little difference between the histologic differentiation and survival. As we can see, there is no consensus on this subject.
