ABSTRACT
The stratum corneum (SC) is the main obstacle for topical drug delivery. To overcome this tough thick barrier and to improve the permeability of the skin, a variety of vehicles and technologies have been developed. We looked at nature, seeking biological structures that can easily penetrate the SC.
