ABSTRACT
Chronic immunosuppression is an important potential barrier to wound healing. Many conditions result in relative immunosuppression including advanced age, and disease states such as diabetes. However, in these cases, immunosuppression is a secondary process and poor wound healing is a result of a number of factors. This chapter will examine wound healing in patients who have primary immunodeficiencies.
