ABSTRACT
Personal exposure monitoring involves the monitoring of people’s personal exposure rather than environmental media around them, that is, environmental monitoring, for example, in the case of occupational airborne allergen measurements, attaching an exposure monitor to the person rather than placing a sampler in the area where they work. Personal exposure monitoring is widely accepted as the most appropriate way of environmental sampling in occupational epidemiology (1,2).
