ABSTRACT
Over the past decades the workforce has been steadily aging in a large variety of countries. The increase in the average age of workers runs at different speeds in different sectors of work. This demographic trend can be considered from two perspectives: on the one hand that there will be more older workers and on the other hand there will be fewer younger workers. Making use of these facts requires knowledge about the concept of workability in various worksectors and for various age cohorts.
