ABSTRACT
The first five chapters in this book have provided a framework for understanding
distribution system reliability. The first chapter presented a high-level overview
of distribution systems, distribution equipment, and distribution operations. The
second chapter discussed ways to quantify reliability, and the third chapter sum-
marized the causes of poor reliability. The fourth and fifth chapters, in turn,
discussed how to model the reliability of distribution components and systems so
that reliability measures can be predicted.
