Preface Most of my life experiences are of little consequence to the topic of biofilms, but this preface provides a brief view of my experiences and how they led me to the topic of the chapter, inhibition of foundation colonization of biofilm by surface modification with organofunctional silanes, coauthored with my colleague Dr. Bob Monticello. Maybe my whole life was about biofilms?
