ABSTRACT
Once design, construction, and development are completed, well maintenance has to begin, based on a preconceived maintenance plan regularly modified to fit the installation conditions. Despite design and care in construction and development, well deterioration happens. Aquifer water quality problems on ground-water remediation projects are inevitably particularly difficult. Future problems with wells are likely to occur, and just have to be planned for and dealt with.
