ABSTRACT
Introduction Hazardous waste contaminants in the environment migrate and may impact areas that are far from the source. Thus, one must identify not only on-site sources of contamination, but the surrounding area sources as well. Many of the sources have already been identified, and the circumference of potential impact is speculative, based in part on past experiences with hazardous substance migration in the environment.
