ABSTRACT

In the past decade the use of radiological cross-sectional imaging in forensics has become more common, and a new paradigm has been introduced: the virtual autopsy. At this time only a few institutions in world own a computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance (MR) scanner. The cooperation departments of clinical radiology with forensics insitutes is often possible, and this raises the need for a proper archiving method of the externally obtained pictures.
