ABSTRACT

DNA evidence is very powerful, sometimes damning, information, yet it is relatively easy to collect. You don’t need advanced electronics skills and you don’t have to set up complex equipment to gather saliva, or hairs from a brush or a comb-gloves, clean tweezers, and a sterile pouch are sometimes enough. The easy acquisition of DNA samples, compared to many other kinds of data, makes this technology a significant information-gathering tool.
