ABSTRACT

Water treatment is one of the most important issues facing modern society. The public need for safe, potable water seems to increase daily, and the role of the water treatment industry professional will become even more important in ensuing years. Like it or not, the water treatment industry is part of a highly regulated industry-the plumbing industry. We recognize that there may be some heartburn that accompanies being associated with this traditional trade, such as licensing, codes and other regulatory burdens. Howeve< this association will always exist, unless the plumbing industry decides to convey some alternate liquid (other than potable water) in which we can safely bathe, prepare our food andflush our fitures.
