F INDING and processing a potable water supply in Moses' style is, obviously, beyond the ability of the waterworks operators we know. We're stuck with more conventional treatment methods for our potable water sources. Let's define potable water:

Potable water is water fit for human consumption and domestic use, which is sanitary and normally free of minerals, organic substances, and toxic agents, in excess or reasonable amounts for domestic usage in the area sewed, and normally adequate in quantity and quality for the minimum health requirements of the persons sewed.
