ABSTRACT
Information has become the lifeblood of the global economy. Corporate information centers (CICs), often called special libraries, leverage this force as they provide services to meet the specialized needs of a company, organization, or group. The CICs are typically staffed by library and information professionals, “…information resource experts dedicated to putting knowledge to work to attain the goals of their organizations.” They provide information support to decision makers, researchers, and administrative and technical personnel.
