ABSTRACT

By nature, educators are in the business of identifying cognitive and behavioral concerns others, namely students, and implementing interventions or strategies to assist them in any perceived areas of weakness. They evaluate the big picture taking into consideration past, present, and future. Many times, plans are put into place to ensure a vision is established to achieve the desired outcome over a period of time. Educators want smaller class sizes. Beyond some of the evidence-based reasons for reducing class sizes to increase academic achievement, educators often state they would choose smaller class sizes to be able to offer more individualized attention to students and be able to create a stronger sense of community. Many people resist change not necessarily because they are stubborn, but because change involves a lot of mental energy. Change is inevitable, especially when trying to keep pace with the ever changing demands in the field of education.
