ABSTRACT

Solving an arithmetical problem should not be a daunting experience. There are only four functions that can be applied to any arithmetical operation. They are: addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Every metallic conductor will have a resistive value per metre, which will depend on its cross sectional area, whereas the overall resistance of a conductor will depend upon other factors such as: length, cross sectional area, and temperature. The resistance of a metallic conductor is equal to its length and inversely proportional to its cross section area. Consequently if the length of the conductor is increased, its resistance will increase; if the cross sectional area is increased, the conductor’s resistance will decrease where the temperature remains constant.
