The Third Threat

On April 11, 2019, some 30 months after his 2016 pre-election talk, Noam Chomsky returned to the Old South Church to again address a capacity crowd on the theme of Internationalism or Extinction. ¹ Beginning with a personal reflection, he augments his description of the existential threats facing humanity to include the political process itself: the subversion of democracy by fossil fuel, corporate, and nationalist interests. – Editors
