ABSTRACT
Barry Baker, Technical Services, University of Georgia and Jack W. Tolbert, Vice-President, National Library Bindery, presented the results of two surveys conducted by Gary Pitkin (University of Northern Colorado), Doug Phelps (Vanderbilt University), and Baker. The surveys were designed to shed light upon the present relationships that are formed between the library, commercial binder and serial subscription agent as a result of the burgeoning use of various levels of automation.
