ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the qualitative results in detail. Eight axial codes become apparent after the analysis method of grounded theory. Examples of open codes from the raw dialogues are listed and axial codes are depicted with the original words presented. A synthesised model relating all the axial codes together is shaped and the core category, namely helplessness, along with other axial codes, is further confirmed. The results show renewed information about the deep feeling of helplessness among the older participants, and both interpersonal and intrapersonal factors emerge in such feeling. Discussion on the results is available for deepening and broadening the understanding of this research.
