ABSTRACT
Catalytic asymmetric reductions of β-disubstituted nitroalkenes, including bioreduction, are summarized in this chapter. Various metal-ligand catalysts and organocatalysts such as Hantzsch ester and reductase enzymes have been employed to generate β-disubstituted nitroalkanes with a β-chiral center with good-to-excellent enantiopurity.
