ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book argues that applied organizational poetry, stories, and organizational psychodynamic thinking contribute to a deeper understanding of organizations as simultaneously intersubjective, experiential, transferential, and containing unconscious structure. The juxtaposition of the triangulation with the mosaic of workplace subject areas has allowed the creation of a narrative that provides some sense of order and coherence to the often-chaotic nature of work experience. The poet’s striving to be aware and understand helps those who hear and read the poems to find companionship in locating meaning in their workplace experiences. “Organizational toxicity” is in some ways a mild term for the pervasive sense that one is being spiritually violated and poisoned in a polluted workplace.
