ABSTRACT

The conclusion highlights key findings from the studies included in this book and their implications for practice in the field, with special attention to issues of educational equity. It also examines the studies’ limitations and describes directions for future research on FSCSs to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for underserved students. Areas for future research include broadening the focus on student outcomes, establishing authentic partnerships with families and communities, and examining the roles of different school personnel in realizing the goals of FSCSs.
