ABSTRACT
The analysis of mining and geological and technical conditions of the closed coal-mining enterprises of Donbass was carried out on the subject of using the technology of underground coal gasification. Its essence and methods, advantages and disadvantages of using are considered. The comparative description of the experience of applying the technology of underground gasification of coal in different countries has been carried out. The issues of the economic efficiency of the technology of underground coal gasification and the receipt of a number of benefits from its use are considered.
