ABSTRACT

The problem of reducing the danger of mining is a global one for modern industry. The article presents the problem of the stability of roof in laminated jointed rock masses. The voussoir beam scheme is considered, as it allows predicting the behavior of the roof with a large span and multiple-jointed. This scheme is not sufficiently represented in publications and is limited to horizontal bedding of the ceiling and vertical jointing. The method can be improved. The paper considers such stability factors as joint parameters and quality of contact.
