ABSTRACT

To find out which profession suits you, you will have to investigate your future sphere of employment. It is never too early to start working on this during your studies. By familiarising yourself with the labour market as soon as possible, and actively looking for information, you will discover what the labour market has to offer and which function suits you best. Being aware of your sphere of employment can also stimulate you in your studies: you will know what you are doing things for, and that can mean just that extra little push to complete that difficult module. Most professions fall under a particular sector – the agricultural or the health care sector, for instance – and have their own professional trade organisations which can provide a wealth of information on the sphere of employment they represent.
