ABSTRACT

Organisations are usually described via an organisational chart in which the departments and the responsibilities for the departments are included. The larger the enterprise, the greater the number of hierarchical levels. It is necessary for the internal organisation of the enterprise to change from hierarchical or functional management to process-oriented management. Due to demand from the market, many companies are obliged to adapt their organisation to the market’s needs. The customers have high requirements for the quality, delivery times, reliability of delivery. Furthermore, there are also specific desires that customers have in relation to products, deliveries, and packaging. The management focuses on the main outlines and the teams themselves organise the activities to achieve the objectives they have established together with the management.
