ABSTRACT

The Strategisch Afstemmings Model model departs from two viewpoints: functional integration and strategic alignment. Moreover, the model is based on four fundamental domains, namely: corporate strategy, IT strategy, infrastructure of the organisation and processes and infrastructure of the IT and processes. A model is thus created with twelve components on the basis of which the corporate strategy and the IT strategy can be attuned to each other. A lead is gained over the competition if the IT systems can quickly be adapted to changes in the organisation. From different approach angles, the corporate strategy and the corporate infrastructure with respect to the IT strategy and infrastructure can be mutually aligned. Due to this mutual alignment, the enterprise can quickly satisfy the wishes and requirements of the market with the aid of the IT systems and so achieve competitive advantage.
