ABSTRACT

The digital construct embodies the physical, algorithmic, and procedural features of the transformation. It is the foundation of the holobiome within which the organization will soon operate. It comprises the assets, the interfaces, and the plumbing connecting everything together. Two software obstacles confront the aspiring digital transformer. The first is the proliferation of datum types, structures, and storage, summed up by the expression “multiplatform data architectures”. The second is data intelligence subtending governance. Data intelligence software helps governance officers to enforce the rules of engagement by everyone in the organization. The administration of the digital construct requires a thorough knowledge of what is installed where and doing what for whom—presumably, a self-evident fact that needs no furtherance. The pilot transformation will require a partial implementation of the digital construct. The closing act of the implementation is an assessment of the overall outcomes of the pilot transformation.
