ABSTRACT

This conclusion seeks to summarize and assess the seminal issues raised by all the chapters. It points out that Wadding had a multifaceted identity which continuously changed and adapted to the different contexts in which the Irish Franciscan lived and operated. A common issue which weaves all the chapters is the complexity of the Irish Franciscan as well as his outstanding ability to play many roles in which he emerged as a “global” figure of early-modern Catholicism.
