ABSTRACT

The concept of predictive analysis plays a vital role in industries due to its enormity and complexity. The reason of prediction is important in each field as it can support us stop the occurrences of the error before any abnormalities can happen. It consumes direct monitoring of mechanical condition of plant equipment to find the original mean time to malfunction for every preferred machine. Depending upon the mechanical construction of an equipment, it estimates the fault that may happen in the machines and predicts the approximate time that could cause a critical situation. This prediction is effective. This chapter proposes a method with an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Internet of Things (IoT) that could be best used for prediction purpose when compared to other algorithms since it does the best purpose of function approximation, clustering and forecasting. Finally, the comparison has been made between ANN and other algorithms in terms of accuracy, precision, and specification.
