ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a discussion on the causes, diagnosis, and investigation of symptoms related to limbs in patients. It provides a general practitioner overview, differential diagnosis, possible investigations, and top tips for dealing with symptoms related to limbs in patients. The symptoms discussed are acute single joint pain, arm and shoulder pain, calf pain, foot pain, hand and wrist pain, hand and wrist swellings, leg ulcers, limp in a child, multiple joint pain, painful muscles, recurrent hip area pain in an adult, recurrent knee pain, swollen ankles, and swollen calf. The differential diagnosis includes common, occasional, and rare causes of the symptoms.
