ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the price attached to piped water supply for private consumption in the city of Guwahati. The study found that the city dwellers are willing to spend an amount higher than their average monthly cost to get a regular and reliable 24/7 water supply. Along with the side of supply, the city authorities are planning to get newer machinery, through cost recovery, to improve the service delivery.
